Aquatic Weed Control Expertise

Submerged Rooted Plants

This group of aquatic weeds are rooted into the sediment, but do not have distinct floating leaves, or different aerial structures.  They may occasionally have leaves that reach the surface, but always have flowers that are held above the surface of the water.

There are no herbicides available for control of rooted submerged weeds, but the herbicide Roundup Pro Biactive (containing glyphosate) with the adjuvant TopFilm can be used on plants with floating leaves
